Each serum preset has been specifically designed to fit within the new wave of disco we have been seeing in pop lately. However, each preset will work in a vareity of styles. Every preset has macro controls allowing you to modify certain parameters of the patches whether it's the wavetables, filters or FX. 
Presets that are marked with a "VS" are velocity sensitve which allows you to modify the timbre of the sound just like if you played a real piano. Play the keys softer and you'll create a softer sound. Play them harder and the sound will open up revealing more top end and bite.
